The video is distorted

Windows Media Player Version 9 (WMP9) running in Windows XP may display the SIF and QSIF video in the wrong video size and aspect ratio.

This problem is caused by the DirectShow Video Mixing Renderer.

Follow these steps to turn off the DirectShow Video Mixing Renderer in WMP9.

1. Start WMP9
2. Click Tools in the menu bar
3. Select Options from the Tools menu
4. Click the Performance tab
5. Click the Advanced button in the "Video acceleration" box
6. Uncheck the "Use video mixing renderer" checkbox in the "Video acceleration" box
7. Click the OK button

WMP9 will now display the SIF and QSIF video at the correct video size and aspect ratio.
