Video anomalies

Video anomalies may occur with some combinations of video adapter and operating system.

e-Watch camera video may appear in the wrong video pane, or it may appear that two video streams are playing in the same pane.

Also, the video pane may be black after advanced pan/tilt controls are activated.

These problems are caused by errors in DirectDraw acceleration.
Follow these steps to disable DirectDraw acceleration:

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Double-click "Display" to open the Display Properties applet.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Click the Advanced button on the Settings page to open the video adapter Properties applet.
  5. Click the Troubleshoot tab.
  6. Locate the Hardware Acceleration slide bar.
  7. Move the pointer on the Hardware Acceleration slide bar to the left until the description includes "Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations".
  8. Click the Apply button.
